Academy Sport Scientist, Stoke City FC
Robert graduated from the University of Hull in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science. He completed internships in both the second and third year of his course during his time in SHES, firstly with Hull FC and then Hull Kingston Rovers. In both roles Robert assisted with the sport science, and strength and conditioning provisions for the 1st team.
Following completion of his degree Robert was invited to continue his role with Hull Kingston Rovers with a greater emphasis on the monitoring of training load through GPS analysis. To further develop his skills as a specialist in this area, Robert also began a part-time MSc with the University.
In June 2013 Robert moved to take up a position as a sport scientist with the Hull City Tigers 1st team and supported the team as they reached the 2014 FA cup at Wembley. In December 2014 he was offered his current role as an Academy Sport Scientist with Premier League football club Stoke City, where he is responsible for GPS-based performance monitoring.
